Automotive X Prize News: June 5th, 2009
Tesla issued a recall this week! Also, they delivered their 500th roadster, and Bill Arnett (pictured) drove his Tesla to Yosemite. The news also includes Tata, HP2g (no longer an AXP team), Neil Young, a new Senior Director for the AXP (Eric Cahill), Tango, Loremo, and a ZAP! recall as well. Plus more.
Tesla issued a recall for 345 of the 500 roadsters now on the road. The problem is related to some bolts in the rear assembly, and has nothing to do with their electric drive-train or battery. In fact, there is a similar recall for some Lotus Elise vehicles, built at the same factory.
