Automotive X Prize News: February 19th, 2009
Wired has written an awesome review of 20 of the AXP teams, including Kinetix Motors (pictured)! AutoblogGreen asks why so many green cars have only three wheels, ZAP & Aptera make news, and the LATimes writes a story on the AXP.
Automotive X Prize draws 25 teams so far - including some details on 20 of the teams. Some of the info is from the AXP Team Page, which now has 25 teams on it. But they have also written some of their own material and included some nice pictures!
Why do so many green cars have only three wheels? Answer: it costs less to design and build them, because you can ignore safety regulations... featuring Aptera, Persu Hybrids (used to be called Venture Vehicles, VentureOne), Myers Motors, and more.
