Miastrada
The Miastrada re-conceptualizes the automobile - separating the carriage and road-tracking components. The design has an unbelievably low Cd (0.075), which enables its very high MPGe. Check out all the info on the new Miastrada page, or read on for the same via HTML.

Background and Details
- Miastrada re-conceptualizes the automobile - separating the carriage and road-tracking components
- The carriage part is optimized for aerodynamic drag, and features tandem seating for two, with entry via lowering the floor to create a walkway up into the vehicle
- The road tracking components consist of the tracking part (which allows steering) and the control part, which supports the carriage and enables stabilization control ("roll stabilization" - so the vehicle won't tip over)
- The carriage is inspired by airships, such as the USS Akron ZRS-4, which have nearly optimal aerodynamics
- Several patents protect the design - US Patent 7338061
- Lack of doors enables uninterrupted side beams, enhancing safety in event of side impact
- Miastrada will compete in the Alternative Class of the AXP, and should be competitive against e.g. Aptera...
