Visionary Vehicles

Malcolm Bricklin is at it again! This time he wants to build a set of series-PHEVs, and a nation-wide parts and dealership network to be shared with anyone else who wants to make PHEVs. Can he pull off this ambitious vision? Skeptics are legion, and given his history I'm not sure I blame them... Malcolm Bricklin is at it again!
Originally Visionary Vehicles planned to import Chery vehicles from China (2005), but that fell through in 2007
Bricklin had to return $200M of the $225M he had received from George Soros when the deal fell through, but he still has $50M from 27 Chery dealerships
Bricklin is planning to establish a 250-strong dealer network and a parts supply system, both for anyone who wants to build PHEVs. This will help him lower prices
Visionary Vehicles now has a partnership with ElectroVaya to create a Joint Venture for automotive batteries
They also plan 4 other models, including a Crossover, an “All Utility Vehicle”, and two convertibles
The vehicle will clearly be mainstream class, but with that low gasoline efficiency, it will be a challenge to qualify!
